Really again
Yep - I’m sick again - with fever!!
I am planning on doing the no excuses challenge but may start a day or so late :( due to the fever - stupid fever.
Can I just say how horrible it is to fly when sick - I though my head was going to explode when we were landing it hurt so bad. I am so sick of being sick!!! Seriously I’ve been sick pretty much this entire month - I am so over it.
I feel like crap
Yep again - I am so over the month of January. I’ve been sick almost all month. After not even having a sniffle in over two years this is killing me! I want to rip my head off there is so much sinus pressure…oh and I get to get on an airplane in a few hours - yeah this will be tons of fun!! Let’s all hope my head doesn’t explode during takeoff or landing :(
Why can I not have one day where no one from work calls me? I mean I sent an email saying that I was going to AZ and would not be reachable - yet they still insist on calling and texting!!!! I am sooooo over it!

You have a large ball of fire in your sky - how do you survive with that - how has it not set you all ablaze? Good thing I brought these eye covering things that they sell - not sure why I have them in Seattle - but they are saving my eyes from burning out from that ball of fire in the sky ;)

About losing 60ish lbs - fitting in airplane seats is way better. I mean let’s face they still suck but suck sooo much less now!!!

Spin was good - it was hills and my legs are jello and I was soaked. I’m looking forward to some outside swimming in AZ :)
Ass sufficiently kicked
Had my peak performance class at the gym tonight 30 minutes of spin working at mostly 80% followed by 1hr of strength/balance stuff - there was reverse wood chops while balancing on a bosu ball and tire pushing and single leg deadlifts down into a pushup and reverse lunges and…well a lot of other things it was great and pushed me in different ways. Starving!!
I woke up starving this am and decided to skip spin class in favor of breakfast :) I was so hungry there was no way I was going to make it through a spin class without possibly eating my arm off.
So - kale omelette and an almond milk protein shake with some blueberries - yummy and I don’t want to eat my arm off anymore ;)

You guys I decided I needed to get yoga back in my life at least once a week - so today since apparently I turned my alarm off this morning, but let’s not get into that. Today I went to hot yoga for the first time in…oh say…9 months. It is a vinyasa flow class in a heated room - I totally forgot how f’n hot that yoga studio was!! Fever gone - cold follows
I had a whole two days where I felt good! And then just as my doc said it was highly likely I got a cold or something after the virus - yep now I am so f’n congested it sucks. I’m thinking of going to the pool tonight and practicing flip turns - its a saline pool ;) but for now back to my spot on the couch, perhaps I will finish knitting my scarf today.
In case you haven't heard
There is a snowpocalypse here in Seattle…seriously the whole city shuts down - we have like no plows so the streets are all covered and well as I mentioned before seattleites don’t know how to drive in the snow. However they sure do know how to play in it!! I just looked out my widow and saw two women cross country skiing past my house - I do love that about Seattle :)
In other news...

It has been three days since I’ve worked out and it’s been three days that I have been laying around resting due to this stupid “virus crud” and fever - ugh I am going crazy and am starting to get twitchy. I want to go to the gym I want this stupid fever to go away! I’m so f’n fidgety right now and can’t even concentrate enough to do anything - aargh!!!
And.....
Since I am bored out of my mind right now if anyone has any questions or comments or whatever - feel free to ask :)
Virus crud
That is the exact diagnosis from my doc and that there isn’t anything she can do - just rest drink tons of fluids and avoid the public until I am at minimum 24hrs without a fever :/ and it’s snowing in Seattle - which for normal winter places no big deal, but snow in Seattle is worse than rain in LA people in Seattle think that driving their car up the big icy hill is a good idea and...
And the fever is back - time to try to get in to see my doctor tomorrow. Seattle please don’t completely shutdown due to snow - I actually think i need to see the doctor tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can get in.
I love my guy
I’ve been sick since Saturday night and he has been taking care of me - making me food and bringing me tea and just in general being great - I love him

No run or anything today
Turns out I’m sick :( weirdly sick - first my throat was sore and I had a headache - I had and still have a fever - boooo! Basically just my whole body a aches and is compounded by sore muscles from lifting the last few days and i have a killer headache. I even took i ibuprofen, which I never do. My shoulders and neck are so sore right now. The fever has gone down some so that is good, but...

So…since I had the revelation of laziness I have…
Thursday: 45min spin class followed by 45min strength class
Friday: 30min nonstop in the pool - followed by upper body work out - arm and chest so sore
Saturday: 6x400 at 6.7 on treadmill (almost puked a little) followed by lower body workout focusing on those less used muscles you know the ass and the hammy’s and balance...

Revelation of the day
I got lazy! I fell into the post marathon blues and they sucked me in pretty hard. I was working out today and realized while I haven’t gained any real weight since the marathon I have lost muscle and there seems to be more…well…fat. Thank you central park for our morning date - I’m sorry I hit snooze or it would of been longer. I know it started out rough, apparently there are no satellites near you (or so my garmin thinks) but we gave up on that and were all the better for it. It was lovely to spend 40min with you today. note: I only made it to the gym on Friday morning, but I have been walking everywhere the last two days - but I need a good sweat, it’s been too long.

You know what I love about the NYC stuff is open all night. I mean in Seattle it is hard to find a coffee shop open at 9pm, not that I want coffee right now but if I did I could easily get some!
