well that's a nice way to start a day
I got thanked on the radio today - twice actually. one of our local stations was broadcasting live from one of our venues and they thanked me and of course a bunch of other people, but me, i was thanked on air…i’m on a roll with the getting thanked on radio…Wait, Wait…don’t tell me has thanked me 2x and I got thanked during an NPR show with Rosanna Cash and now...
It's so past my bedtime
Tonight was a busy one. Did hill workout with friend, rolled ankle - I think it’s ok just a bit sore. Come home ate, showered, then went to two shows and two of the venues I work at - if only there was a show at the third I could hit it up in between :) and now I’m tired and have to be at work early for another show :/ good night my bloggy buddies!

oh spin class...
you make me so happy! since my back is still a little tweaky i decided to do spin class instead of the running speed workout. i just didn’t think my back would be happy with all the pounding of a speed workout, but i still needed to do something to kick my ass this morning. my spin instructor is super awesome (and pretty dang cute too) and he does some great classes that are super high...

i made my paleo pancakes tonight and instead of using apple sauce i used pumpkin and some pumpkin pie spice - i’m celebrating the fall weather :)

somehow i f’d up my back and it is killing me to be sitting right now at my office - i would love to be laying in my bed or the floor - probably the floor. i think a swim may be in order for the evening, usually that helps me sort it out and loosen things up some….but right now, right now it really hurts and i need it to stop hurting cause i have 13.1 miles on the books for this...

it's more of a soup
so the paleo chili i made turned out more like a chunk soup so lets just say it’s soup :)
i used 4.5 pounds of grass fed beef stew meat
two onion
4 jalapenos
4 cloves of garlic
i large can of crushed tomatoes
1 can of youngs double chocolate stout (yes that is the non-paleo part)
put all in crock-pot and set on low for 7ish hours

i was all dressed and ready

note to self: don't eat your stress
because when you do you will feel like crap the next day! just a friendly reminder to eat well when stress and just workout more - sweat always makes you feel better. Also look at investing in a heavy bag for the garage that will help get rid of all your stress!!!

…yep i did in fact actually do that and i’m admitting it and i’m not happy i did it, but well i did it and i am acknowledging it and moving forward from it. i won’t let it control me and i won’t let it happen again….who am i kidding it will happen again, but i will work to manage it and then i will get my ass to the gym and make myself sweat and burn calories...

my hip is feeling better since i’ve been icing and resting it so that makes me happy…i am also doing tons of laundry today and cooking a turkey - yeah, i really don’t know why either…but the guy grabbed a turkey from his parents house and i decided today is as good as any day to make a turkey. it has also pretty much become fall here - the clouds are back…

So at the end of our run today I tripped on a piece of sidewalk, I managed to catch myself just before falling and stay on my feet - but i think it may of hurt less if I actually fell :/ sure there would of been blood and probably a bruise or two but right now my left hip is seriously hurting and I just can’t get a stretch into it - oh well I guess it’s a good thing tomorrow is a rest...

The Michigan State game is on and gonna take a quick shower and do some serious stretching while watch ing the game - woohoo for college football - I love my Spartans!

after the worst cramping incident of my life last night in the pool my calves are still sore…i even wore my compression socks to bed although it appears i took them off at some point in the middle of the night…i don’t like sleeping in socks and apparently take them off in my sleep, even compression socks which are not easy to take off - i woke up and was like ummm - i remember...

so i am running home from work today and i just realized that i made the hugest mistake!! I FORGOT THE GARMIN!!!!!!!! how will i survive - yeah, yeah, yeah i can use my phone, but it is going to have to go into my camelbak and i won’t be able to just quickly look at it as i am supposed to do 2 miles easy, 3 at tempo, and 2 easy…i know it is exactly 6.33 miles from my work to my house...
